Wanda “Terry” Carlson, 78, died June 2, 2012 in her loving daughter’s arms after a long illness. Mrs. Carlson was a resident of Lake Forest for 50 years and previously of Lockport, IL. She grow up on a 300 acre gentlemen’s farm and often referred to the experiences of playing in the hay loft, corn field and the wonderful cooking in the kitchen as the best childhood ever. The heartfelt lessons learned on the farm translated to the upbringing of her own family from which the family will carry on her deep values in simplicity of life and the beauty of it will live in their hearts forever, as they carry forward her legacy. Beloved wife of the late Burton G. Carlson (2008). Loving mother of Lisa Carlson of Lake Forest and Jeff (Betsy) Carlson of Burnsville, MN. Cherished grandmother of Greg (Katie) Carlson, Elizabeth Carlson both of Burnsville, MN and Bailey the beloved Portuguese water dog.
