| Thomas R. Meeks, age 77 of Lake Forest, IL and formerly of New York City, died at home on April 20, 2012. He served in Hawaii as an aerial photographer during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle, NY and received his law degree from New York University in 1962. He practiced law and later went on to be a director at the Mutual of New York Life Insurance Company. He lived in Lake Forest for 36 years, but his heart was always on Swans Island on the coast of Maine where he summered for over 40 years. He and his wife Selene celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2009. He is survived by his wife Selene, son Thomas (Holly), and grandchildren Forster, Finn and Eleanor. He is also survived by his sister Marie Maguire and six nephews and nieces.
